Artist Statement

The integration of the natural environment with an ever-growing population has become a fascinating subject for creative inspiration.

The subject matter for my art is grounded in three thematic elements inspired by the diverse environment of Colorado. The themes of flora, fauna, and people, are arranged in unlikely combinations, distilled down into geometric compositions and delineated with bold outlines. Humans, animals and plants come together in unlikely and unexpected ways. These artworks attempt to capture the beauty of those moments, and suggest that surprise encounters can be inspiring and sometimes humorous.
